Objective

Deuce Creative was presented with the challenge of raising awareness for Tallowood Baptist Church’s recent expansion that included an additional worship center that made room for an additional 2,000 people.

Target Audience

When it came to the audience, we took a look at the big picture. Who can we reach out to that has lost sight of church and could potentially find a home at Tallowood? The campaign focused on families in Houston zip codes, people who have lost touch with church, people getting married, people with small children and the current congregation of Tallowood.

Strategy

We implemented a six-month campaign that utilized a series of billboards. Corresponding mailers focused on a select group of Houston zip codes that were selected because of their proximity as well as the current members living in those areas. We designed and implemented an Internet campaign that integrated SEM, an email blast campaign and website that tracked activity during the campaign.

Results

According to Randy Kilpatrick, the church’s Associate Minister of Music and Worship, “it is the highest response to an advertising campaign that we have ever had in my 26 years of managing the advertising for Tallowood”. The “Reconnect” email campaign has grown from 0 to nearly 300 members and the website has received nearly 3,000 first time visitor hits in the four months since the campaign started.
